Salary: £22,580 - £28,063 (Band 3)

The Community Payback team enables those who have received a sentence from the Court to make reparation by completing unpaid work that is of benefit to the local community.

This role is to supervise a group of adult service users undertaking Community Payback (Unpaid Work) in various settings across the County. Managing a group on a project is both rewarding and challenging and involves encouraging the service users’ participation in the work, as well as leading by example and maintaining the discipline of the group, so engaging service users to get the best experience from their punishment.

The successful applicant would be able to demonstrate their commitment to delivering our excellent service, and respond in an assertive and appropriate manner when dealing with any difficult situations that arise. You will possess some knowledge and experience in various types of practical work, eg, outdoor work such as DIY, gardening and conservation and knowledge of Health and Safety at Work procedures and legislation. There is initial training of 5 days to prepare to work in this challenging environment.

Various hours are available, including weekends.
