Are you seeking an exciting, inspired and new role with a leading and progressive UK based distributor? Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced sales and specification person for the Birmingham and West Midlands region, Your role will focus heavily on developing a specification pipeline by building strong relationships with local authorities, specifiers, designers and architects within the Midlands region. In addition, you will be experienced in negotiating with both contractors and national/regional developers. If you are experienced in sales specification for brick, stone, clay blocks or external facade walling systems, then we may have an exciting new position for you.

We have been retained by a leading and well established UK based distributor whose continued success in the UK market place this past 50 years has meant that they are sourcing an enthusiastic and self-driven professional to cover Birmingham and the Midlands area. The preferred candidate should ideally live within the Midlands area. The new position of Senior Specification Sales executive offers a very competitive package, including shared bonus, company pension and healthcare.

A key objective of this role will be to identify and build strong relationships with various specification channels to market, as well as selling into regional developers and contractors. This position is ideal for those who enjoy offering a range of walling solutions which will go into private and commercial house-building and construction products.

The right candidate will be experienced in knowing how to target and develop those areas of specification, and the role will demand someone with strong organization skills to utilize various CRM systems, and to track potential contracts before a contractor comes on board.
The right person with potentially a background in specification selling will be self-driven and able to work on their own initiative. There will be a requirement to establish strong relationships with various brick, stone and external cladding manufacturers, and the candidate must be prepared to, on occasion, visit manufacturing plants with groups of architects.
Our client is interested in hiring more on potential rather than just somebody who has previously only worked in the clay brick, external walling, facade and paver sector. They are looking for a candidate with the right drive and attitude to carry their product range forward in the future.
