A leading supported housing provider is currently advertising for an Assistant Accountant based in West Bromwich
This is a great new opportunity for an Assistant Accountant within the Central Office in West Bromwich. The Association was formed in 1972 and is a not for profit organisation working in the community with vulnerable and excluded people from a diverse range of backgrounds providing support through a variety of high-quality housing, support and advice services.
The main purpose of the Assistant Accountant role is to provide financial information, support and advice to the Association, working with the Head of Finance and other finance staff in delivering a high-quality finance service to both internal, external customers and stakeholders.
You will contribute to the planning and execution of the year end external audit process and production of the statutory accounts within the agreed timescales and assist in producing monthly management accounts and reconciliation of control accounts to agreed deadlines.
To be successful as an Assistant Accountant you will be AAT qualified and be able to demonstrate your numerical skills or bookkeeping experience. You will also need to be motivated with good communication skills and proven IT skills together with good organisational ability. Experience in the housing sector is desirable but not essential.
