Senior Operations Manager - Catering

Location - Covering Leicester, Rugby, and the Midlands area

Salary - competitive, plus car, fuel card, laptop, phone

Servest are recruiting for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to cover an portfolio of around 10-16 sites within the Midlands, Leicester and Rugby area. You will be responsible for the onsite Catering Managers/ Chef Manager at the sites, be a direct point of contact for the clients and be the face of the business- we are looking for a dynamic manager who wants to grow with our company and who can bring innovation to our management community. This role is reporting to a Regional Operations Director, the focus will be on driving sales and managing costs in a fast paced commercial environment.

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager who leads from the front, understands financials, can guide and train people to manage a successful unit as well as maintain a profitable portfolio of contracts that is innovative in its food offerings.

What the position involves-
Day to day you will be responsible for finance, compliance, quality and the management of the catering units covering both fixed price and cost plus sites;
You will ensure sites are performing effectively and maintaining employee and customer satisfaction across the board.
You will be happy to travel around your sites, training staff, assisting managers and meeting with clients.
You will be leading, motivating and developing staff using the available skills and resources.
Liaising with Human Resources / Payroll and Operations teams at Head Office to maintain excellent customer service at site level.
Identify opportunities to expand business on sites through organic growth.
Work with HR to effectively carry out disciplinary and grievance hearings.
Regular audits and reviews, both financial and health and safety.
Involvement in new developments and supporting the sales team.

Skills and experience needed-
* We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager that is used to managing a portfolio of at least 10 contract catering sites with a track record of improving sales and maintaining costs- a Chef background would be advantageous but is not essential.
* You will have the ability to influence and gain commitment as well as demonstrating a high level of customer focus.
* You need a high level of planning and organisational skills as well as the ability to be flexible with working hours- this is not a 9am-5pm role
* You will be used to finances, labour costs and managing P & Ls together with a strong leadership style with a focus on supporting and developing employees.
* Strong IT Skills with a background of producing reports as well as a sound understanding of HR procedures.
*You will be an excellent communicator with a ‘can do' attitude, and are able to manage teams of people effectively.

Due to the nature of the role we can only progress candidates that have a Full UK driving license as the role is travelling between sites.

The role will also include some overnight stays- this is purely business lead
