The Opportunity Macildowie Marketing are recruiting for an experienced and driven B2B Marketing Manager to join a well known information services organisation based in Nottingham. You will take the lead on all marketing activity for an innovative and exciting part of this business. We are looking for a talented all-rounder who is just as happy wading through marketing data as writing copy, sending email campaigns and sending out propositions. As the main point of contact for a significant part of the business excellent stakeholder management is a must. The marketing manager will be responsible for creating a calendar of activity aligned to the business priority areas and targeted at driving growth in key areas. It is not possible to do everything so an ability to prioritise is a necessity. Reporting into the Head of Marketing the role requires someone who is self-motivated, driven and capable of working independently to targets when required. Some level of people management experience would also be preferred as there will be one direct report (Marketing Executive). Key Responsibilities Planning -Create and run a marketing calendar that delivers activity that helps the business achieve its goals in its priority areas -Build nurture streams and implement automated content delivery and lead scoring for key areas -Plan marketing support and requirements for new product releases and updates -Create a plan of activity to deliver product marketing for key areas of the business Product marketing -Scope out and deliver product marketing material for key products and capabilities, prioritising focus areas and highlighted growth opportunities -Work with the product teams to develop value propositions for key areas Reporting and analysis -Provide (brief) weekly updates on business unit performance and ongoing marketing activity -Deliver and own monthly KPI reports for the key indicators you are responsible for -Analyse activity and tailor output to optimise future performance Teamwork and leadership -Manage a junior member of the team and have responsibility for their performance, development and day-to-day activities -Play a senior role in the wider marketing community -Develop a good relationship with other business units -Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team who are not in your direct reporting line and stand in for the head of marketing when required Key Requirements -Degree or equivalent experience -Demonstrable marketing experience -Proven people management experience -B2B marketing experience essential -Experience creating, managing and owning a marketing calendar -A data mindset, whether that’s in outbound activity or reporting -Experienced and confident stakeholder management -A relatively advanced understanding of digital marketing -Highly developed communication and presentation skills -An understanding of and experience with the requirements of pragmatic marketing including product marketing and proposition development -An understanding of social media and the role it plays in the marketing mix -An understanding of building communities in social media networks -Experience with email service providers essential, Eloqua a bonus -Proven people management experience -Experience with TeamSite, Umbraco or other Content Management Systems and their role in marketing Macildowie is a specialist recruitment consultancy with a rich history of enhancing the careers of professionals across the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
