Technical Office Manager - Derbyshire HQ - Stunning growing business- currently 80 mil turnover £42,000 upwards plus more and excellent benefits We are currently recruiting for a Technical Office Manager, based in Swadlincote, who will be responsible for management of the Swadlincote technical office and administrative functions. You will be responsible for ensuring that departments operate in an efficient, reliable, professional and customer focused manner with highly motivated team members who undertake their job diligently. With 20 years plus history and part of a dynamic group this is a stunning Operation / Administration Management structured role with long term career potential - Make a difference APPLY TODAY -Start Sept - 2017 Key Responsibilities: - To control and manage all aspects of the Engineering office and team, and the administrative support functions. - Assume overall responsibility for ensuring that efficient systems and procedures are in place within the areas of accountability - Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and working practices for each department - Responsibility for managing performance, productivity and KPI's in each area of accountability - Analysis of financial performance against budget - Understanding commercial contracts to maximise revenue - Evaluation of profitability and ensuring all revenues realized - Manage team performance and motivate, set challenging goals and objectives for the team, mentor and develop direct & indirect reports. Ensure that the team works in line with company objectives. - Manage team performance through appraisals, PDP's, training etc. in line with Company policy and procedures. - Always promote Health & Safety in the workplace, displaying excellent personal safety and challenging others when unsafe behaviour is observed. This extends to ensuring all reports are aware of and behave in accordance with the company Health & Safety guidelines. - Provide, by example, a planned and proactive approach to work demonstrating exceptional organisational skills, effective communication and team building - Prepare management reports as required using the agreed formats ensuring reports are delivered on time - Resolve escalated customer queries and complaints. - Ensure that customer queries are responded to promptly and dealt with to the highest level. - Coordinate relationships and communication between internal and external teams The candidate must have: - Ideally educated to Degree level, or equivalent in an Engineering discipline - Significant experience in a senior management role for a construction/engineering/manufacturing organisation - Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in operating at a strategic level - Excellent people management, development abilities and interpersonal skills - Flexibility to travel to other sites as required - Sense of humour - great attitude, motivational and with backbone and character - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Works independently, decisive, strong judgement, problem solve and career focussed with evidence of process and structural improvements in a similar business across multiple teams Package: - 40,000 to 50,000 per annum basic salary - Negotiable depending on experience - Great benefits - excellent offices and growth plans and a superb track record of success and growth - 23 days holidayto start plus all bank holidays APPLY TODAY - Start as soon as notice is finished but ideally September 2017
