Due to continued growth within this sector both in the UK and internationally, we are seeking to appoint a Graduate Transport Economist to assist with an expanding workload in our busy transport planning team. WYG are engaged with a a number of both private and public sector clients engaged in a wide selection of exciting projects in the UK and overseas. Your Role You will be responsible for supporting the senior staff by providing technical input to projects, supporting the team to deliver what is expected and prepare reports. As part of your role you will be required to liaise and interface with other industry professionals including Architects, Town Planners and Local Authority Officers and therefore you must have good interpersonal and communication skills. About You In order to be successful in this role, the successful applicant should: hold an MSc (or equivilent) in transport economics; have transport economic work experience in the UK and ideally internationally, covering for example data collection, data analysis, transport modelling, economic analysis work (eg cost/benefits analysis), socio economic analysis and report writing; Possess good analytical and report writing/data presentation skills; experience in using GIS and statistical analysis software and a good working knowledge of MS Office software; Ideally working towards Chartership status; Good spoken and written English and competent numeracy; Motivated team player; and Enthusiasm to learn new transport planning skills.
