The role in a nutshell The 1 st Line Support Analyst role will be a very hands-on member of the team working within the Service Desk to provide support services to all UNiDAYS employees. The support analysts report in to the EUT Manager and provides first line support to users whilst assisting with the configuration and administration of the EUT systems in support of on-going operations and projects. This is an internal customer-facing role within EUT and requires excellent prioritisation, responsiveness and customer service, escalating more technical issues to other team members along with good verbal communication skills. Progression within the team is possible to 2 nd and 3 rd line support and to further technical roles. Day to day responsibilities First point of contact and support for our global user base. Provide initial support and incident classification. Actively respond to incidents, problems and requests. Providing fault diagnosis and treatment to address issues. Understand and document the detailed configuration of the platforms. System Administration. Installation and deployment of endpoint devices (PC, Mac, Mobile). Hardware maintenance and upgrades. Responding to alerts and notifications. Training of staff to ensure developed solutions can be maintained and supported by other staff. Interaction with other teams within Information technology. What we need from you Excellent customer service and a good telephone manner. Problem solving and analytical skills. Computer and printer hardware knowledge. Ability to prioritise multiple tasks working to tight deadlines. Demonstrable knowledge of computer hardware and software and system troubleshooting. Up to date knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac). Basic understanding of network fundamentals (switches, routers, TCP/IP).
