Academic Learning Mentor - Russell Group Graduate Role Are you a high-achieving Russell Group graduate looking to join an exciting secondary school as an academic mentor from September, supporting students reach their academic potential, on a graduate scheme whereby the following year you could train to teach with the same school? Perhaps you are considering teaching as a rewarding career in your chosen degree subject but would first like to gain experience in a support role, such as this academic learning mentor position? This fantastic Birmingham secondary school & sixth is looking to recruit a number of academic learning mentors for a September start. Graduates in the following subjects are desired including: Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry English, Geography, History, RE/Theology/Philosophy as well as Psychology. Academic Learning Mentor: - Paid up to £350 per week - Core subjects required, including psychology - Full time position Mon-Fri - September 2017 start - Potential for a place on the school's teacher training from Sept' 2018 - Excellent insight in to teaching your subject specialism - Based in West Walsall As an academic learning mentor you will gain an insight in to what it takes to become an outstanding teacher. You will be supporting learners within intervention groups, as well as within the classroom setting, occasionally taking cover lessons. You must be a high-achieving, confident and enthusiastic graduate who is ready to inspire young learners and help them to reach their potential. Sounds like something you'd be interested in?
