IT Support Engineer
Our client requires an Interim IT Support Engineer to provide prioritised technical support, and advice across the college including the creation and maintenance of IT accounts and user permissions. The role also requires installing, building and testing new IT equipment. This includes specialist equipment and software for disabled learners and staff.
The post holder will also need to diagnose and resolve network, software and hardware faults (including peripherals), and perform maintenance repairs and upgrades.
The suitable candidate will have a recent qualification in an IT related course and have recent and relevant experience in setting up PCs with Microsoft operating systems and software on Microsoft network, proven experience of installing and upgrading software packages, and experience of diagnosing and rectifying faults on various pieces of hardware and software.
Our client is a National Residential College for the vocational education of students with visual impairment and/or other disabilities. Its primary aim is to develop the skills of all students to the full, enabling them to live and work as independently as possible in society.
