Business Development Executive - Financial Technology Solutions / Stoke-on-Trent

We are working with an up and coming organisation in the FinTech market in Stoke-on-Trent, who are actively searching for the next generation of Business Development Executives to join the business to present, negotate and close new business opportunities inside the Retail marketspace.

The business endeavours to provide effective finance solutions to businesses predominantly in the retail market. Since their establishment 4 years ago, they have built up a substantial presence in the market with a vast number of online retailers utilising their financial services and and are now in negotiations with tier 1 and 2 retailers.

This opportunity would be ideal for someone with a good understanding of financial and credit services, who is used to presenting, negotiating and closing new business customers both over the phone and face-to-face.

The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will be joining a professional and fast-paced environment; driving financial growth through identifying and generating new business with e-commerce retailers. A responsibility would be to establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will be targeted on demonstrating and selling our innovative software solution to potential UK-based Retail Partners through an online presentation and be expected to respond to inbound enquiries.

You will be expected to be a company ambassador and role model; upholding core values of customer centricity along with honesty and ethical practice at all times to contribute to the continued success and development of the business.

The Candidate

- Experience of working in a Business Development capacity; over the phone or face-to-face.
- A strong desire to provide customers with a professional standard of service
- Socially adept, able to effectively communicate and pitch to high-level decision makers.
- Positive, resilient and tenacious approach to everyday tasks and a strong desire to succeed and drive your career forward.
- Ability to work to KPI's and Targets, providing effective pipeline reporting
- Able to present and guide a business through a value proposition; leveraging key benefits of a set product or service.
- Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally in finance or online payment solutions.

Salary - GBP20,000 - GBP30,000 + Uncapped Commission and Benefits
